When the foundation stone was laid for the LULU Island, the ADDCO leadership had one clear agenda in mind: to develop a man-made island that should grab the attention of people from far and wide in the future. Some 3 decades onwards, the dream is blooming, with the artificial island a marvel for everyone to see.
Also known as the Pearl Island (as a testament to UAE’s heritage of pearling), the island is spread over 1,050-acre and stretches all the way from Abu Dhabi Breakwater to Mina Zayed. The island features sprawling waterfronts, sand dunes, date palms, and plenty of cabanas to enjoy BBQ or a quiet walk along the shore with your loved ones.
The real highlight though is the calmness and serenity one experiences when the water hits the feet and the wind breeze caresses your hair. Amidst all the flashy architecture and shopping malls in the city, LULU Island might just be the escape one needs from the daily grind.
ADDCO has always prioritized the wellbeing of the region’s inhabitants, and projects like the LULU Island reflects the group’s vision going forward. Sustainability is the focal point of ADDCO’s operations; hence we ensure our work leaves behind a legacy of sustainability.
